The Hub City Spartanburgers are a new MiLB team who kicked off their inaugural season with a bang. They're the High-A affiliate of the Texas Rangers. They built a beautiful, state of the art stadium in the heart of downtown. We pitched a project to them celebrating the rich legacy of baseball in Spartanburg while connecting the history to today and showcasing their launch and bright future.
Spartanburg is the home to Duncan Park, a historic baseball stadium that opened in 1926 and is recognized on the National Registry. Over the last few decades pro teams left Duncan Park as it fell into disrepair which left Spartanburg struggling to compete in professional baseball. Now in 2025 we're welcoming in a New Era in Spartanburg!! They have a new MiLB team to call their own, an incredible new stadium, the HS is playing games at Duncan Park and there's new energy around town for the National Pastime.
Families and friends are creating memories attending games in the newest minor league stadium in the country. Community is coming together. We had a blast filming with the team, learning about the rich history and the plans for the future.
Enjoy "A New Era in Spartanburg: Baseball", a short film we produced for the organization highlighting Spartanburg baseball's past, present and future. The 6 minute film played in the stadium before the game on Aug. 24.
