Tumbleweed Pictures continues to share The Other Boys of Summer Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Program with communities and companies around the country. This summer we hosted a number of hybrid programs as well as our first return to in person programming. Bally Sports Detroit and the Detroit Tigers selected The Other Boys of Summer to kick off the Tigers 18th Annual Negro Leagues Weekend. The event was outdoors in Campus Martius Park where everyone was welcome. The Governor of Michigan welcomed the crowd and Bally Sports Detroit GM, Greg Hammaren shared how they were very proud to be able to host a free community event where people of all races, ages and demographics could come together and enjoy the film and be inspired. Following the film the conversation and Q&A session included Trevor Thompson, Lauren Meyer, Negro League pitcher - Pedro Sierra and retired Tiger Craig "C-Mo" Monroe.
